Bends with a story

The Glosso Circuit is more than asphalt and gravel — it's also history. For example, the Willy Sneyersbocht was named after the founder and first chairman of the Glosso Racing Team, a pioneer of rallycross in Belgium.

The Herman Campersbocht honors a talented Glosso driver who won the first title of 'Belgian Rallycross Champion', but unfortunately died much too early in a traffic accident.

Together with the Panorama Bend, among others, they form the backdrop to legendary duels that have been fought here over the years.

A circuit built on passion

The story of Glosso starts in 1970, when six enthusiastic entrepreneurs had the idea to start a rally team. With the initial letters of their surnames, Rik Van Gompel, Staf Lasters, Frans Otten, Willy Sneyers, Staf Sneyers and Justin Van Ostaede found an appropriate name for their brainchild; it became R.T. Glosso.

What started with competitions around the church tower and at Weelde airport grew into a full-fledged rallycross circuit at Schotelven.

In addition to the sporting aspect - with the organization of Belgian and European championship tests - the social role also plays an important factor. Het circuit stelt zijn terreinen ter beschikking aan andere motorsportverenigingen, organiseert opendeurdagen voor jong talent en werkt samen met lokale scholen om jongeren kennis te laten maken met vakmanschap en praktijkervaring.

A place where speed, history and future come together.
